Dr. Johnny Evanson

Doctor of Dental Surgery, University of the Pacific, 2016

Oral Surgery, Denver Health Medical Center 2020.

My name is Dr. Johnny Evanson.  I grew up in Utah where I began my first career in aviation. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in aviation science from Utah Valley University. I became a commercial pilot and flight instructor where I helped students reach their flying dreams of becoming an airline pilot. Shortly after graduating, I decided to change course and pursue a career in dentistry. I attended dental school at the admired University of the Pacific in San Francisco where I was inducted into the Tau Kappa Omega Honor’s Society. While in dental school, I discovered a passion for oral maxillofacial surgery while shadowing oral surgeons. I completed my post-doctoral training in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery at Denver Health Medical Center, a nationally recognized level I trauma center. While there, I performed extensive facial reconstructive surgeries, gained a wide experience in oral maxillofacial pathology, and received in-depth anesthesia training with medically compromised patients. I have been trained in and maintain certifications in Advanced Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. I am a member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, Colorado Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Additionally, I am a participating member of the International Team of Implantology.

When not at the office, I enjoy spending time with my wife and four children, three girls and one boy.  I enjoy anything in the outdoors: skiing, swimming, biking, and running.  I still enjoy aviation, and occasionally help friends get their pilot licenses.
